Why Are Young Men Finding It So Hard To Find A Job In The US?

The hiring process in the modern era has become so burdensome that many find it far too involved for jobs they are applying for. A simple job at a hardware store may ask for a college degree in their web forum with no options listed for those who have not been to collage. They may also ask for a detailed list of work history which can be daunting to many Gen Zers who do not keep a detailed record of every job they've worked, when they were hired, etc.

Jobs in the US have changed significantly from the previous generation. Many entry level roles and

trainee positions now require certifications and degrees where there were none years prior. Much of the experienced older generation have been forced to work jobs that were nearly exclusive to young males. Many retail and factory jobs are now full of middle aged or older workers who failed establish

a long term career in previous years due to the job market already being constrained before the age of

AI and automation.

AI has put many young people into a state of disillusion and hopelessness for the future of

careers that were very promising in the previous decade. Jobs in the tech industry appear to be scarce to many young people who are not connected to the employer in some way or have no prior experience in the field. There have been few to no laws passed involving the limiting or oversight of AI in many fields, especially in tech and software development. We have now entered an era where humans are being discriminated against for their inability to out-produce a machine.
